The Princess' Man - Episode 1 Recaps

Episode 1 opens up in year 1453 when Grand Prince Su Yang asks Shin Myun to let Kim Seung Yu to escape hoping that he will go to his father's house. When he arrives there, he's astonished that Grand Prince Su Yang's people are following him and as soon as he arrives, they kill everyone at his place including his father, Kim Jong Seo.

On year ago

Lee Se Ryeong (Grand Prince Su Yang's eldest daughter) who always wants to ride a horse, sneakily climbs onto a horse but after hearing her maid's loud voice the horse is scared and dumping Se Ryeong to the ground.

Fast forward to General Kim Jong Seo receiving a (marriage proposal) letter from Grand Prince Su Yang to marry his son (Kim Seung Yu) and his daughter (Se Ryeong). Kim Jong Seo knows that there is something fishy behind this marriage proposal.

Se Ryeong's younger sister ear-dropping their parents' conversation and tells her sister about the marriage proposal. She's curious wanting to know about her future husband.

On the other hand, Kim Seung Yu is sleeping after being drunk and is woken up to go to work - he's the teacher at a palace and today he's been assigned to teach Princess Gyeong Hye.

Princess Gyeong Hye who is bored listening to the lecturers all day complains to Se Ryeong who is in the palace visiting her. When Se Ryeong realizes that the teacher is his future-husband, she asks Princess Gyeong Hye if she can go to this lecture instead of her by pretending to be Princess Gyeong Hye. Princess Gyeong Hye agrees and she sneaks outside the palace to enjoy her one-day freedom.

Politely, Seung Yu enters Princess Gyeong Hye's room not knowing that he'll be teaching Se Ryeong (who is investigating his characters). Their first meeting happens because of Princess Gyeong Hye's kind heart!
